For some of us, March means the end of a cold, snowy and wet winter. As temperatures are getting warmer, things are turning green once again! But, before we all get too excited about it, we need to make sure our RV’s are ready and plans are made for this upcoming camping season.
If you put the camper to sleep every winter season, make sure to de-winterize them. Look around for any damage. Are there any plumbing and/or electrical issues? It’s also an idea to pull out your side-outs and awning to make sure those are good to go as well. Last but not least, you should always check your tires. The thought of heading out on a camping trip to suddenly realize you have to make an unexpected stop is certainly not something you want to have to deal with…
Now that your RV is ready, are you? Can you remember if there was anything you wanted to do differently this year? Maybe there was something inside that had broken or you wanted to replace. Or perhaps you wanted to change the color of something. Planning ahead before you head off with your RV is something you’ll be glad you did. Having to take time away during a vacation to repair a part you had forgotten about last year isn’t just an inconvenience, it’s less time spent with friends and family.
Wondering where to travel to this year? We recommend booking your campsite reservations now if you haven’t already. I’m sure everyone can relate to this one. Missing out on a campsite you’ve been wanting to go to really is a bummer! Try to plan ahead for the campsites you wish to travel to. Popular campsites book up very fast and some places require up to 6 months in advance.
Here at JR Products, we always go the extra mile for you. And, speaking of that extra mile, take advantage of the lowest gas prices in years and take your family that “extra mile” for this upcoming camping season. Travel one state further, spend just one extra day, see one more landmark, make best use of cheap gas and find the extra time to spend with your family.
We want you to have a terrific camping season and we hope these few tips make a difference. Remember, if you ever need anything, whether it’s a new part, an installation question, or if you’re just looking for some advice. Give us a call. We will be happy to help!
